$4.00 Drinks

So, I have a new addiction. Chai latte's-- Erin introduced me to them while we were in Boston. Are there others out there? Are there great hot drinks you are willing to pay 4 bucks for??

Well, I don't know about four bucks...only because I guess I have just found a cheap drink that I make at home all the time...Cranberry tea. It is wonderful. Put a cinnamon stick in it after it has been steeping for a little while. mmmmm. 2.49 at the superstore for a box of twenty some. A little bit of electricity to make the hot water...and then what ever you like...just plain with the stick or milk and honey....which is my preference. :) I do like going out and trying different things...mainly different juices and stuff...I guess nothing has really caught my interest to such a degree. :)

    hmmmm....

    What do I splurge on?

Not hot drinks...but shampoo. I have to have salon shampoo.

The only hot drinks I have are hot chocolate with milk and earl grey tea with a little milk.

I never liked coffee so I prefer to get my caffine fix by drinking diet pepsi.

I remember Liz posting about a Chai Latte drink of some sort. I just may be tempted to give one a try. Only problem...I live in a valley where the only fancy coffee you can get has real cream in it. LOL

Is a chai latte a type of tea drink or coffee drink?? I was never sure. I am guessing tea...lol. I am just a coffee kind of gal. But I like the flavored kind, like hazelnut vanilla and such. Beyond that...maybe a cafe latte..mmmmm! Maybe I will give this a try though. I have heard it mentioned a lot! You look fantastic, btw, Kim!

I splurg on Mocha Frappuccino from Star bucks. They're heavenly drinks and the treat for me is having whipped cream on them. I'm totally hooked.

The only hot drink I like is hot chocolate. I usually make it at home, but if I'm feeling "crazy" I'll buy one at Tim Hortons. I think $2 is my limit though!

Oh, Sarah, you have to try the hot chocolate at Second Cup. They put real cream in it and whipped cream on top. It is truly the best. Sandy likes their white hot chocolate. I haven't tried the white yet, but it sure sounds good. It is a little more then 2 bucks, but worth every sip!

I'll have to give that a try, Heather!

    funny,
my husband is the cheap one. He says why pay a buck for a Tim's when you can make it for a couple of cents at home. But there is something so fun about buying coffee out.... and I totally agree with Heather.... I LOVE Second cup's hot chocolate with the whipped cream on top-Lynn- I also tried a gingerbread latte at Duncun Donuts- loved it.
I 've yet to try frappucino's.. what is that exactly?
oh and heather, chai is a tea drink... and I, living in sussex, have resorted to making my own version and only get the fancy things when i am in the city.
but sadly, they don't taste quite the same.

mmmmm.... think I will go make something right now.

Reading all this makes me want to run out to Starbucks...
I LOVE Chai lattes, too. Tyler bought me a frother for Christmas last year which makes doing the "at-home" versions of these drinks a little more authentic. One that I haven't tried yet but sounds awesome is a "London Fog"--Earl Grey tea with milk and a shot of Vanilla. MMmmmm.

It never is the same at home is it, Kim?? lol. Maybe I will give Magaret's idea a try, sounds like fun. I am into doing things myself..lol. My father-in-law bought me a coffee bean grinder for my bday one year and at-home coffee was never the same..lol!

Sounds yummy, Kim! But I think I'll stick to my medium coffee with double cream from Tim Hortons LOL (Just in case you ever want to treat me you'll know what I like. LOL)

Your little girl is adorable! Your boys are so handsome - and you look great too!!

    Egg nog latte.... sounds heavenly.
I may need to get a little job somewhere to support my new habit, though. and I guess do some extra time on the treadmill since they don't come non-fat.
    Tracy.... how are you doing?
